I live and work within the lands of the Dharug and Gundungurra First Nation Peoples.
I recognise that the Dharug and Gundungurra Traditional Owners have a continuous and deep connection to their Ngurra (Country) and that this is of great cultural significance to these First Nations Peoples.
For Dharug and Gundungurra People, Ngurra includes everything within the physical, cultural and spiritual landscape – landforms, waters, air, trees, rocks, plants, animals, foods, medicines, minerals, stories and special places. It includes cultural practice, kinship, knowledge, songs, stories and art, as well as spiritual beings, and people: past, present and future.
I pay my respects to the Elders, Ancestors and Descendants of the First Nations People of the Blue Mountains region.
I pay my respects to all First Nations Peoples, to their Elders, Ancestors and descendants.
I recognise that the sovereignty of this land was never ceded by First Nations Peoples, and that this land always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
