Coming to Ground is a environmental artwork conceived and designed for Western Sydney. It is a response to our urgent need to deal with anthropogenic climate change. Its doctoral exegesis is entitled, Coming to Ground: the Work of Art in Ecohumanism.
Coming to Ground, (yet to be constructed) is designed as a mandala garden of 26 metres diameter. It will consist of local endangered Cumberland Plain Woodland vegetation, embracing architectural forms that will refer to, and symbolically interconnect, the diverse human settlement groups of the region to the local indigenous ecologies.
